Pemberton Equifest

MOTTO:

To develop community spirit through horsemanship, by engaging people with music, friendly competition, demonstrations and fun.

The Pemberton Equifest was developed to bring people together in the community and invite people to our community for enjoyment of an event that many can identify with. Horsemanship and the attitude that goes with it have long been known as open and accommodating to all. Our focus is to show the communication between horse and rider and what they can accomplish through this communication.  The variety and caliber of horsemanship demonstrations is inspiring to all.

We designed this event to showcase English and Western disciplines. Local riders come out and compete in jumping, hoof and woof, barrel racing, pole bending and keyhole. The classes are defined by ability so all can have fun, bringing home a ribbons and prizes.

Everyone benefits. We have been thrilled with the cross section of ages and interest displayed by the community. All have found something that they have never seen or participated in before. This event extends into our native communities developing respect and friendship through getting out there and just having a good time. It is non professional and all enjoy a laugh, encouragement and being involved.
